PET VET COVID-19 Protocols:

To our valued customer –

First and foremost, we would like to thank you for your loyalty to our practice.  Pet Vet is a locally owned and operated small business who depends on you, our valued customer as much as you depend on us for premium veterinary care for your pet.

PET VET ANIMAL HOSPITALS’ MISSION FOR THE DURATION OF THE COVID – 19 PANDEMIC IS TO CONTINUE OFFERING MEDICAL SERVICES TO OUR PATIENTS WHILE AT THE SAME TIME PROTECTING THE HEALTH AND WELL BEING OF OUR STAFF OF DEDICATED PROFESSIONALS AND OUR WONDERFUL CLIENTS.

To that end, beginning March 20th, upon opening, Pet Vet Animal Hospitals is implementing enhanced COVID-19 Preparedness and Protection protocol in all of our locations.  While we appreciate that some of the protocol can be inconvenient, it is necessary to protect the health of all of our clients and staff members. Thank you for understanding the additional measures.  Above all, please remember that we will get through this, as a community, together.  If we can provide a measure of comfort knowing that we are still here to care for your pet, just ask!

How this will affect you?

  • 1)For Appointments and In-Clinic Veterinary Care - When you call us, we will ask you a few questions.  Do you suspect you may have or have you been diagnosed with COVID-19? Do you have a known exposure or potential exposure to COVID-19?  Please rest assured that the answers to these questions are NOT to exclude you or your pet from an appointment.  We will use this information to develop the best plan of action.
  • 2)For Supplies and Prescriptions – Call us first.  We will pull your items, arrange payments and have it ready for you.  Once you arrive at our clinic, please call us again from the parking lot.  We will deliver your items and receipt to your vehicle.  Rest assured, we will take all precautions with your items by avoiding unnecessary contact.
  • 3) While we already use hospital grade sanitizer throughout our hospitals, we have set up additional scheduled “wipe downs” of our facilities.

During this time, we will be restricting clients from entering the hospital.  This is is in effort to practice social distancing, as recommended by the CDC.

How will that work?  Once you arrive for your appointment, please call or text us from the parking lot and wait in your car.  We will provide you with instructions from there.  We know your time is valuable, we are also staggering our appointment times to see your pet as quickly as possible.  We will communicate the details of the examination via telephone, as well as arrange electronic payment.  We will not be able to accept cash payments, nor can we handle a physical credit card transaction.  In addition we will not allow visitation to any hospitalized patients.

This is a fluid situation.  We are doing our best and we welcome all comments and suggestions on how we can better serve you and your pets during this crisis!  Please feel free to call us.
