Holiday Shopping for Pets on the Rise

Holiday Shopping for Pets on the Rise

Are your pets on your Holiday shopping lists?

If they are, you’re not alone.

The pandemic has created a rise in pet adoptions, a detail that has all animal lovers beaming. Many people are following doctors’ advice and staying home with their beloved animals, as well as bringing new pets and fosters into their home. As a result, more people are buying gifts for their pets this holiday season.

Of course, pets don’t know that it’s a holiday, particularly since their owners have been home a lot more lately, anyway. But they recognize the changes in moods, schedules, eating habits and more. Your excitement is their excitement. And so, they’ll be as happy as you to engage in the little pleasure of the holiday season.

From Petco, to Wal-Mart, to Petsmart and beyond, spending is at a high among pet owners, with many spending even more than normal on their pets. Thanks to more time and more people at home, they’re more entertained and engaged with their families, including their animals.

New pet parents are most certainly splurging to build a home for their new furry family. And long-time pet owners are splurging to treat their long-time furry friends (thought they probably love and spoil them on a regular basis, anyway).

This holiday season, use your favorite apps and search your favorite stores for amazing deals. The sales won’t end at Black Friday Weekend or post-Thanksgiving sales. Use can use apps like Honey and Klarna to help you find the best deals.

And, don’t forget Bark Box and Chewy. You can get these for your pets, or give subscriptions to the pet lovers in your life. Replace old toys and bedding.

Of course, an additional result of the pandemic is much less happy; there are people who have been forced to give up their beloved animals. Holiday shopping can help there, too. If you know someone who is struggling to take care of their pet, help them out by taking advantaged of all the shopping opportunities. You can also shop and donate to local shelters.

Get some extra satisfaction while shopping this holiday season. And, don’t forget to spend on your pet’s health. Bring them into Pet Vet Hospitals. Let us help you make sure they’re happy and healthy this year, and in future years.
